Seemab is a British-Pakistani filmmaker and a graduate of the London Film School with special interest in stories from South Asia. She has produced and directed a number of fiction and documentary films. Her fiction film ‘Overtime’ won the special mention prize for best social drama at BASTAU International film Festival, Kazakhstan. As a director, she has recently taken part in UK Channel 4′s 4TalentExtra scheme and participated in Esodoc International (Kenya). While she makes socio-political films, her multi-media works span themes of migration, identity, culture and politics. Seemab has been awarded a CBA World View bursary for development of stories in Pakistan, while also writing a feature screenplay. She is also currently in production of a feature documentary about Pakistan’s first female taxi-driver.
